GCF Fleamarket

Giving Circle Fund “Flea Market Event” was held recently at the Second Chinatown Elementary School. Items sold included brand new winter coats, hats, scarves, socks, and complete sets of bed sheets. Over a hundred families of students and parents from the school participated in the event. They happily selected items from a large batch donated by supporters and purchased what they found suitable for themselves. The proceeds from the sale were all donated to the GCF for community assistance purposes. The Founder of the GCF thanked all the participants who enthusiastically joined the event, especially Howard Yung from Sunham Home Fashions, who donated a large number of brand new complete sets of bed sheets, which were the most popular items at the sale. They also revealed that the fund currently needs volunteers for tutoring 4th-grade students after school and are calling on high school students who are eager to help to dedicate 2 to 3 hours per week for tutoring.
