Backpack Donation

In August 2009 the Board Members and volunteers worked together to assemble 240 backpacks consisting of notebooks, folders, rulers, pencils, erasers, pencil cases and more.  On the first day of school these backpacks were presented to the students at the Desoto School in NYC Chinatown. The backpacks not only equipped students with the tools they need to succeed but also brought joy and relief to their families. Such acts of generosity can leave a lasting impression on the lives of the recipients and foster a sense of community spirit.
